Backup & Disaster Recovery
Backups you can actually restore from.
Most businesses have backups. Few have ever tested a restore. We design, deploy, and operate backup and disaster recovery as a documented program — image-based backup for servers, SaaS protection for Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, offsite replication, and periodic restore tests — so a real outage isn’t the first time we find out the backup was corrupt.
What's included
On-prem image backup
An on-site backup appliance takes image-based snapshots of every server (typically every 15–60 minutes). Local virtualization means recovery can happen on the appliance itself if a server dies.
Offsite replication
Backups replicate to encrypted offsite storage automatically. In transit and at rest. Survives ransomware on production, fire, flood, and the building burning down.
M365 + Google Workspace SaaS backup
Third-party SaaS protection covers Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Gmail, Drive, Calendar, and Contacts. Granular per-item restore, not just point-in-time bulk.
RTO / RPO planning
We map recovery time objective and recovery point objective to each system based on what your business can actually tolerate. Documented in your DR plan, not assumed from a SKU.
Restore testing
Quarterly test restores prove the backup works. Results logged, gaps identified, plan updated. Untested backups are theater — we don’t do theater.
Ransomware recovery
Immutable backup chains and rollback procedures mean ransomware on production doesn’t take backups with it. Recovery is a defined runbook, not a hope.
Vendor approach
We’re vendor-neutral on BCDR. We choose the appliance, SaaS protection, and offsite storage that fit your environment, retention requirements, and budget — and we support most of the major platforms if you’re already invested in one. Categories below; specific vendor selected during design.
Frequently asked
Doesn't Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace already back up my data?
They protect their infrastructure. They do not protect you from deletion, ransomware on a synced device, malicious admin, or retention policy misconfiguration. A third-party SaaS protection product covers that gap with point-in-time restore for individual items.
What's your RTO / RPO?
Depends on the system. Critical servers: typically 1-hour RPO and 4-hour RTO with on-appliance virtualization. Less critical systems get less aggressive targets. We map this to your business reality in the DR plan, not from a SKU.
What does a real ransomware recovery look like?
We isolate affected systems, identify the latest clean restore point from the immutable backup chain, virtualize the recovered system on the BCDR appliance to keep operations running, then rebuild production in parallel. Documented runbooks; we don’t make it up at 2am.
Are you locked to one vendor?
No — and that’s the point. We pick the BCDR + SaaS Protection stack that matches your environment, retention requirements, and existing investments. If you already run a specific platform, we adapt rather than insist on a rip-and-replace.
Ready to see where you stand?
A short call, an honest assessment, and a written plan. No pressure to switch providers if you’re already in good hands.
