What goes wrong when fiber is ordered carrier-only?
Carrier-direct is not immoral. It is incomplete for most SMBs.
A Lincoln office that orders the circuit alone still needs someone to:
- Design VLANs so guest, cameras, and corporate traffic do not fight after the handoff — network design.
- Tie Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace identity to the new uplink without a weekend of “it works on my phone.”
