Modern glass-walled office corridor with track lighting and a breakroom kitchen

IT and security for psychology and therapy practices.

Independent counseling, psychology, and behavioral-health clinics in Lincoln, Omaha, and the Midwest need HIPAA-aligned technology without a hospital IT department. SAINT manages endpoints, Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, email and identity hardening, backups, and privacy-aware facility controls as one fixed-rate team — with a BAA before PHI-adjacent work begins. We are based in Hickman, Nebraska; Lincoln and Omaha are service markets, not storefronts.

Behavioral Health FAQ

Do you sign a BAA for therapy practices?+
Yes. BAA before PHI-adjacent systems. Non-negotiable.
We use a cloud EHR / practice platform — can you still help?+
Yes. We secure the operating environment (devices, identity, email, network, backup, doors). Application support stays with your EHR vendor; we own the seam around it.
Should we put cameras in counseling rooms?+
Usually no. We design for waiting areas, entries, and after-hours coverage with retention and privacy reviewed up front — assessment first via /physical-security-assessments.
Are you “HIPAA certified”?+
No vendor is “HIPAA certified” in the way that phrase gets thrown around. We implement HIPAA-aligned controls, sign BAAs, and package evidence — auditors and OCR determine compliance outcomes.
Where should a brand-new practice start?+
Identity + email hardening, endpoint monitoring, tested backup, then a privacy-aware facility assessment if you’re leasing or renovating. Read the intro guide at /blog/healthcare/hipaa-it-for-therapy-practices, then schedule a practice assessment.
Do you serve Lincoln and Omaha therapy practices on-site?+
Yes. Lincoln is a primary market (Hickman-based team, no retail clinic IT shop). Omaha-metro practices get scheduled on-site plus continuous remote operations. Call 531-625-2111.
What about 42 CFR Part 2 (substance-use records)?+
When a program is in Part 2 scope, sharing and identity rules are stricter than baseline HIPAA. We size email, access, and logging accordingly — we do not claim a Part 2 certification. Tell us during assessment if SUD records are in play.
What about email compromise targeting a scheduler or biller?+
Treat it as BEC until proven otherwise. Containment playbook: /blog/security/business-email-compromise-what-to-do. Program: /email-security. We coordinate Huntress ITDR — we don’t claim OCR outcomes.

Behavioral Health in Lincoln vs Omaha

Independent therapy practices around UNL and the Capitol district: HIPAA-aligned M365/Google, Huntress SAT/ITDR, and cameras that stay out of session rooms. Hickman-based; no clinic storefront.

  • Omaha behavioral-health clinics around hospital gravity.

West Omaha and Aksarben groups still need BAAs and privacy-aware doors even if Nebraska Medicine is down the street. Scheduled on-site; same fixed-rate team.
